What is Forward Head Syndrome? (In English, how we sit at the computer or when we drive

As we sit at the computer or when we drive, we are no longer focused on how we are sitting, we are now focusing on what we are reading or typing, or where we are driving.
Did you know that for ever inch forward that the head moves as we sit, it adds 10 pounds to the weight of the head on the neck? Not only that, when we sit straight, the spine supports the weight of the head. However, as the head moves forward like in Forward Head Syndrome, the muscles in the neck have to support the weight of the head.
Forward Head Syndrome has been linked to Carpal Tunnel, Thoracic Outlet Syndrome and Lower Back Pain.
Always see your doctor first to determine if massage therapy is right for you.
